Tacos, a symbol of gastronomy in Mexico

In a statement, Tradex Exposiciones highlighted that said food has a preference of up to 76 percent among Mexicans, according to a study by the Strategic Communications Office (GCE, for its acronym in Spanish).

According to the study, one of the culinary characteristics in the country is the sale of food on the street, whether in public transport stations, outside office buildings, markets or street markets, where the term «Garnacha» has been given to this type of food.

The signing of events and exhibitions added that the GCE study also revealed that the tacos of pastor, steak, fried meat, suadero and carnitas are those that most please the Mexican palate; while the least attractive are those of cheese, tongue, flank steak, potatoes, and vegetables.

The study indicates that most Mexicans consider dinner as the ideal time of day to consume tacos.
Forty-three percent of consumers prefer to eat them home, 42 percent eat them in one place and 12 percent in the street.
Tradex Exposiciones pointed out that the preparation of tacos only requires a tortilla and the creativity of the diner since the variety of ingredients can be infinite: only with salt, grasshoppers, pork rinds, avocado, meat or any other stew.
